Happy New Year 2007,…

On this lazy sunday, I woke up around 2 something P.M - Singapore time…. turn on TV and shocked by the news Suharto dies…. last month, december 27 Benazir buttho was killed and today Pak Harto dies due to multiple organ failure or he’s been old already.

So now… from 2 p.m up to now 12.13 am  my time says, Channel News Asia has been reporting non stop ‘Suharto Dies’ news. It’s quite ironic, here.. people discussing, Suharto as a great leader for Indonesia and respect him for his service to his nation. and South East Asia countries was indebted to him, he was critically role in ruling ASEAn and created peace for South East Asia countries,which would make us like Balkan countries… war and conflict happen all the time….. his role in ASEAN reletionship is better than Indonesia first president, Sukarno.. Hmmm… yeahh.. I don’t really agree Sukarno statement,..’ Crush Malaysia ‘… sounds abit kaya’ bar bar

but whatever…….

Indonesia need a strong and smart leader… from all of Ours.. the one who is very strong and untouchable is him… Suharto… Dont really know what he’s really done in the past about human right abuses and we all know theres no revolution without violence and blood… alot countries in the world through out history passed this …… and dont know who shall we believe .. involving ICA, medias….. though there’s alot politic in media…..all I need now bring back US$1 to rp.2500… 

when I did an essay for a subject, I read statement senior PM Singapore Lee Kuan Yew… Hmmm, It least sound like this : ‘ Suharto collapsed because freedom of speech in the medias…. ‘

this is democracy country, we need freedom of speech….. and we really need freedom of speech in a country where the justice can be bought by money…

but I think freedom of speech will be causing a big problem for country where its people still easy to be provoked without analyzing the problem first.. like us.. we become unstable country… high prices.. orggh dollarrr… oil booming etcetera,,,

one day, I met an East Timor(ian?) student in Singapore.. we talked much along our way in the bus… I asked him.. which is better… East Timor under Republic of Indonesia or Portugal..??

he replied… none of both…. hehe… but I think it’s better we can unite together and keep stability… no need passport or student pass to study in Jogjakarta or bandung….

at last, Rest in Peace Pak Harto…. I remember.. whem I was in elementary school , we stood in a long row to waive our hands when your car passed us during your visit in Padang. halah…. those old times

In Indonesia, asking  such this question to your colleague are normal….nothing wrong about this.. it’s not offensive question (= in Indonesia)

It’s not MYOB case like in some individual countries, here Indonesia is type of collective country…(sangat kekeluargaan …… just liat infotainment yg menjamur…..isu sosialnya karna peoplenya masih demen ngurusin urusan celeb…)
